Wednesdays During Lent

Lenten Supper: 5:30 – 6:45 pm

Worship:  7:00 pm

Our meals will be sponsored by various groups from church and the community.  Free Will offerings will give people the opportunity to give alms to various causes.  Groups that will be sponsoring meals include:  WELCA (our women’s group), Sister City Project, MS Bike Team, study abroad trip for Josephine, Walk with GRACE, and the RC Lions.

Our worship theme for Wednesdays is entitled “With Awe and Love” based on Luther’s Small Catechism.  This is a chance to review (or be introduced to for the first time) the tool Luther created over 500 years ago to help parents teach faith at home.  It has also been used for centuries as a tool to teach Confirmation classes.  We will be utilizing the Small Catechism in worship as a way to grow closer to God.  This will be a time to reflect on the basics of faith as well as engaging in the first mission of the church – to worship God with awe and love.
