Supplies needed for School Kits

St. John’s WELCA is once again collecting school supplies to send to Lutheran World Relief.  A display is set up in the Narthex. The school bags that we supply each contain a list of items needed. You can take a bag or several and fill them to donate. Any items are appreciated as well as Walmart gift cards. Please return the school bags or items by September 3rd. Below is the list of supplies needed for each bag sent. 

   4 70-sheet spiral notebooks

   1 12 inch ruler with metric

   1 pencil sharpener

   1 pair blunt scissors

   5 ball point pens (no gel)

   1 box crayons (16-24)

   1 eraser (2 1/2 inch)

We usually ask for pencils but we have enough for this year.

WELCA is also in need of the follow items to complete Personal Care kits and Baby kits for Lutheran World Relief:

     light weight dark colored full size bath towels for personal care kits (no heavy towels and no hand towels);

     cloth diapers for baby kits

     36 square inch cloth blankets (not knittted) for baby kits,

     4 ounce bars of soap for both personal care and baby kits.
